Vintage 1969 M G Contreras Classical guitar

Cedar top, fine fan bracing, solid Indian rosewood back and sides
650 MM scale length, 53 mm nut width.
Some minor fracture repairs, more details added soon.

Fine quality thick ebony fingerboard. Straight super comfortable playing neck, the rear surface of the neck has been sanded for that smooth timber / oiled feel.

This guitar shows signs of having had a full clear golpeador finger guard for many years, then played without a guard for many years and now, a parchment coloured guard fitted to the treble side. Certainly had a life or two of playing and that clearly is because it has wonderful open tome, warmth and projection. Bright piano note trebles.

Shows age and checked patina, quite a lot of abrasion marks in the lacquer. A couple of minor crack repairs and fine fractures but certainly does not detract from the wonderful playing and tonal qualities of this fine braced resonant guitar. A player guitar well worthy of consideration.
