Many years ago I had been approached to make some replica gold guards for some very early and very rare vintage Golden Hofner archtop guitars both in Europe and the USA
I made several pickguards to suit and the best went for those guitars, models “1, “5, “8 from memory. Other guards I had made at the time were sold for restoring some very fine model 470’s. Clear guards were for other models including Committee’s etc.
As I’ve been recently going through many of my stored Hofner parts prior to me retiring, I have come across these two remaining GOLD guards.
They are of course, faithful replicas with polished rounded beveled edge. Gold backed on Perspex. Genuine Hofner shape.
On one you can see the countersunk hole for the pickguard bracket has been done, and locating pins yet to be fitted on both, which I will do prior to posting. 
One guard is excellent and one shows some discoloration edgewise, that guard will be most suited to have pickup cut-outs.
Let me know your needs and I am happy to get the necessary measurements from you and finish these beauties off so your Hofner can feature as proudly as the aforementioned which I believe are on display in various locations.

Hofner, in recent news has gone into some form of receivership and guitars and models from the past will no longer be produced. 
 Buy these parts while you can.
