1970’s Vintage Sho-Bud HEARTS model 7724
Dreadnought Martin style dreadnought acoustic guitar.
Fitted with Fishman EQ Blend pickup with tuner, under-saddle and microphone pickup System.
MIJ, comes with Hard case. A very rare guitar in very good collectable and playing condition.
Sho-Bud, the famous name known for Pedal Steel guitars since the late 1950’s
The creator behind the business was Harold “Shot’ Jackson. Born in Wilmington NC September 4th 1920
These guitars, made in very limited numbers, to the best of my knowledge and guess work, Shot Jackson produced four card series guitars,
Club 7720, Diamonds 7722, Hearts 7724, Spades 7726 models, with also only one known example of the ‘Grand Slam’ 7728 model which was actually hand made in the Sho-Bud workshop in Nashville. The cards models all being special order imported from manufacture in Japan.
I am assuming the ’77’ part of the model number suggests year of manufacture being 1977
The style is certainly very much a Martin. especially the diamond shaped volute area behind the nut.
More information on Shot Jackson and instruments will be added further down this page.

- These instruments were manufactured to a high standard in Japan. The detail of the particular factory is unknown but build quality and style suggests Gakki. Takamine perhaps.
A very good gloss finish, a very playable neck and action. Rich tone with good volume and projection. Minor nicks and marks for age.
This guitar has had a previously fitted internal bug pickups with 3 x controls on the top shoulder side wall, now repaired and internally cleated. Also a second output socket near the endpin. The guitar now fitted with a more modern and very useable great sounding Fishman blend pickup, mic and tuner EQ system
