A wonderful collection of four USA Made Harmony Hawaiian guitars made in the 1930’s
USA Made in Chicago
Generally described as ‘stencil’ guitars.
Raised nut, high action for Hawaiian or ‘Slack key’ style slide playing.
Suitable also for blues style playing with tone bar or bottle neck.
In remarkably great collectable and playing condition. Each guitar has been serviced, any loose braces or bridges reglued.
The tuners have been serviced and guitars restrung with D’Addario 11-52’s.
These are very playable instruments all presently tuned to open D (D, G, D, G, B, D) but of course there are so many open tuning variations to try.
The Birch laminate give a nice bright dry airy tone with decent volume. Whether to be played or displayed as a historical instrument that is in great condition and style of the period.

1. $ 450 Aud Light natural finish birch top with antique burst back and sides. Slotted headstock. Original tuners Raised bone nut.
Green and red stenciled rosette. Ebonized fingerboard with white dot markers. Internal label reads ‘Liberty Guitar’. Made in Chicago USA VGC
2. SOLD Dark antique burst finish, solid peghead, original tuners, original floating bridge, original tailpiece.
Silver painted fingerboard with stenciled dot markers. Ornate stencil pattern rosette . Harmony guitar co. Made in Chicago. Exc.

3. Medium dark antique burst finish. Slotted headstock. Original tuners. Vintage metal raised nut. Headstock stencil reads ‘Southern Seas’.
Rear headstock decal reads American Standard. Faux flamed effect fingerboard painted design with stencil position markers. Canoe/palm tree Hawaiian scene stencil. VGC
$SOLD for the black with green palm trees and silver moon painted design.
Solid peghead. Original tuners. Headstock decal reads Hawaiian Club. Made in USA. Vintage raised metal nut. Silver painted fingerboard with green pos. marks to match the art deco stenciled night-time Island scene of moonlit palm trees and sunset. Bridge reglued has a few fine cracks but VGC and sounds wonderful.
No cases with any of these instruments as they have been used only as display items for many years.
