 HILO Model 640 Hawaiian guitar Weissenborn  Hollow-neck.

Koa back and sides, spruce top, Rope binding. VGC

This great collectable hollow-neck Hawaiian guitar is between 90-100 years old and in really good order with a genuine aged patina to the finish, minor marks and play wear. One small old crack repair from many years ago, central back in the area of the central interior label.
This is s stable, aged, small repair, not cleated due to it’s location.

The sound of this instrument is authentic tone from beautifully airy light weight aged timbers. The koa is only lightly grained and figured and the spruce top is a fine grained quality top with no cracks.
Original Waverly tuners working well and operating smoothly.

Excellent condition

The original case is here but the instrument far too good to risk the old tattered item. This instrument will be sold with a more modern hardcase.
