- This 511 Hofner staple pickup is in good working order, strong, and reads 9.19 KOhm , and has a hookup lead measuring a quite short 20 cm The cover is chrome plated. NOTE that the left and right ends have only one of the tabs in tact and this would indicate that the pickup was from a solidbody electric that was not using height adjustable brass base plates. as these just fitted snugly under the pickguard and were usually just taped into place but having these tabs means that it can also be used on the later models.Also, I’ve noticed that the screw poles on this pickup are flat slot heads rather that the normally seen slightly domed screws. They are the correct thread and may be original but not usually seen like this.
