Vintage 1952 Hofner President acoustic Jazz guitar

1952 Hofner President archtop Jazz guitar Model , Brunette finish.

In Good-Very Good condition.

One of the early pre truss-rod examples with smaller headstock.

Serial number  1561

Certainly a collector and very much playable. Very good neck and neck set. Low action. Very straight. 

Has had a fret dress and nicely maintained.

A couple of small holes around the end of the fingerboard and top indicates a floating jazz pickup type fitted at some stage.

Would be worthy of an original Hofner Jazz pickup refit.

• Features, celluloid bound neck, rosewood fingerboard with triple pearl dot markers.
• The body has double white/aged cream painted border and look alike binding. Also an indication of it being an early one.
• Smaller ornate headstock with classical style post tuners. One side of tuner or tuner strap has been replaced.
• Original President bridge and the classic Hofner Compensator tailpiece is a refit from a shallow body Hofner.
• May have once had the longer ended Compensator T/P or early plain trapeze Jazz tailpiece.
• A very nice interesting guitar for consideration into your Hofner guitar collection.
• Comes with non original but a decent and reliable hardcase.
