1955 Vintage MATON Goldtone DeLuxe G210 Archtop jazz guitar VGC Serial # 329
Maton guitars have become so very collectable in recent years. They are iconic and interesting and Australian.
This example of a mid 50’s Maton Goldtone DeLuxe archtop is one that can be played and added to your collection.
Many of these early models suffered from lacquer deterioration and flaking/chipping. This one not being any different but has been professionally nitro blown over thinly to preserve the original lacquer underneath. The rear of the neck has been fully resprayed in vintage tint nitro also. The back of the guitar shows the usual wear marks and scratches of a guitar nearly 70 years old but overall, certainly one worthy of adding to the collection.
The guitar has a good straight neck, not too think, and has original vintage thin frets.
