Mid-1960s KLIRA Triumphator 500B Bass Guitar

• Scale: 3/4 — lightweight, compact, and surprisingly comfortable
• Made in: Germany — back when they built things to last, even the weird stuff
• Condition: Very good — not showroom, but definitely stage-ready if you’re not too picky
• Presently fitted with nylon black tape/ribbon wound strings. These offer an upright or even fretless gentless in playing tone. I would assume standard steel round wounds would assist if more traditional power or tone/brightness was desired, that would work well. The tone control may also be more useful with nickel steel strings also. At present the effect is minor.
  Bass shows some edge shrinkage to the vinyl which is typical for all those German croc skin models. The only change worth mentioning is the bridge top section has been changed to a Hofner Beatle bass ebony type with nickel saddles.
  The Neck is good, frets are good, and original pearl head tuners are all working well.
