USA 1989 Vintage G&L Skyhawk electric guitar Leo Fender signature, burst finish EXC
Ash body, Rosewood fingerboard
A stylised Strat themed guitar , Sperzel locking tuners, two post fulcrum tremolo.
Minor wear and marks on this wonderful collectable era Leo Fender electric guitar.
Neck pocket date stamp November 1989
Note a small crack in the pickguard at the neck pocket area, pictured above.
There is a small lacquer scrape on the headstock at the letter K in Skyhawk. An edge bump to the lacquer down near the output socket.
The front of the pickguard shows a ghost of where its original product sticker was left on for the first 20 years, once removed it left a nice white patch where it once was.
This will fade away.
A really nice playing guitar, only medium to light fret wear. Original and collectable form the 3 bolt neck plate early series and what makes it really special is having Leo Fender signature decal on the top horn. Original and as you know, the Fender name is everywhere in the MILLIONS ..those days of having Leo’s signature on the G&L guitars is very much a collectable.
